Are You Ready?

We don't want to ruin your last few delicious weeks of summer break, but school does start August 27, whether we want it to or not. Still shopping for school supplies? You can find the list here. (If you bought yours through the PTA, you have them already. Isn't that a good feeling?)

Also, in case you forgot, District 58 has a slightly different school day this year; make sure you check it out here.

Your PTA board and committee chairs will be meeting Thursday, August 9 at President Laura Kamedulski's house to get ready for the 2012-2013 school year. Stay tuned for more news later this week!

Don't Miss Out! Order Fun Lunch!

Mr. Fun Lunch would be devastated if you missed the deadline to order, which is why he insisted we put a link on the website (to your right) to make things as easy as possible.


For October lunches (Aurelio's on October 12 and McDonald's on October 26), you need to order (and pay) on or before October 5. 


November orders need to be placed and paid by November 2 (Buona Beef on November 9; Aurelio's on November 30.) Winter break means there's only one fun lunch, on December 14. Orders/payments have to be in by December 7.


Remember, you can order and pay for all Fun Lunches through December 2011 right now. That way you don't forget, and Mr. Fun Lunch won't have to cry his salty hot dog tears. (Nobody wants to see a grown hot dog cry. Especially not one wearing spats!)


ALSO:  if you have any special order needs (allergies, etc.), please email coordinator Monica Johnson at ireland0505@comcast.net ASAP so she can put them on the menu to order. THANK YOU!!!

Welcome to a New School Year!

Curriculum Night will be held Wednesday, August 31 at El Sierra. It's a wonderful opportunity to meet your child's teacher and find out what your child will be learning this year.

First rotation, for kindergarten, second, fourth and sixth grades, will take place from 6:30 to 7 p.m.

Second rotation, for first, third and firth grades, will take place from 7 to 7:30.

The PTA will be holding a social in the art room from 6:30 to 8 p.m., giving you an opportunity to learn more about us and what we have planned for the year as well.

Expect to see a Bobcat Bulletin newsletter September 1 with news about new staff, upcoming events, exciting new changes to the Fun Lunch program, and more.
